Prior to the pandemic, KPU was named a top brewing school in North America winning awards in the US Open College Beer Championship and was also named Brewery of the Year at the 2019 BC Beer Awards. KPU's Brewing and Brewery Operations program is the only brewing diploma of its kind in British Columbia, the first and only brewing program in Canada recognized by the Master Brewers Association, and our students and brewery have won numerous awards over the years, including more recent wins at the 2022 Canada Beer Cup, 2022 Canadian Brewing Awards, 2022 US Open Beer Championship(bronze) and 2022 BC Beer Awards.
